In order to test the latest 1.36
A-cam software in combination with our new multi-camera control unit
MC-1, a spectacular rig was set up this november at Stockholm Skatepark
in Fryshuset.
The 1.36 software allowed us to rig 18 A-Cams with synchronised shutters
in a circle, capturing professional skateboarders Casper Plass and Bob
Josteen making stunning tricks.
The MC-1 allowed us not only to capture high
end time-slice sequences, but also freeze ANY frame we like and move in
& out of time and space without boundaries. The MC-1 unit is available
Q1 2007 in 5 and 10-unit configurations. 20-unit systems with or without
cameras are available on request.
6/25/2006: A-Cam featured in Master Class
at Cinegear Expo, Los Angeles.
Jon Fauer, ASC, was the ringmaster
taking a crowded Kodak Screening Room trough the history and new
situation regarding Super 16. The major conclusion from the class
seminar was "It´s a totally new ball-
game with Digital intermediate and Super 16 just fit in so perfectly."
The session started off with Jon reading a written statement by
the innovator of super 16, Rune Eriksson. The audience really appreciated
the anecdotes describing how Rune got the idea and with some help
pushed the idea to the silver screen. The success story ended by
mentioning how Rune was rewarded some 35 years later with an Oscar
Academy award.
All the major camera manufactures presented new models or important
upgrades: Arriflex 416, Aaton XTRProd2, Reflex A-cam Ikonoskop,
new S16 Cooke, Canon and Zeiss lenses, accessories, video assists,
support, cool retrofits for your old cameras, and more.
The atmosphere was joyful, generous and
informative. Afterwards, the man, Jon Fauer wrote: "Thank you
all for making the Super 16 Summit Masterclass at Cinegear such
an excellent event. I appreciate the time, resources and effort
you put into it, and I know we all came out of it having learned
a lot. I hope we do it again."
