All this ikonoskop thing seems strange. The info that arrives to the consumer is contradictory... suddenly this sensor only works in 1080p at 15 fps. I was decided to preorder as many others, till I heard this. You work backwards. Some months ago it seemed that you almost had the final product and now it seems that the people who have payed 700€ will have to wait many years.
Anyone knows any date? I suppose that the cam won´t be ready in later 2009 as they said. Even 2010...
And as we know; money won´t be refounded till your cam is ready to deliver.

Disapointing.

15 fps... you could sell the cam with a three blade shutter )

This sensor works in 1080p at 25pfs at the moment.
And I suppose that the cam will be ready in later 2010 or early 2011.

Hi Alex

I guess, everybody has right for they own opinion but, face the fact's, were is written, that it records NOW only 15 fps?
Okay, it took more time to make a camera, then they expected, I think 700 € is not reason to cry.

Say HI to Fernando from me

It certainly records 25fps, I have the beta version with me right now. You can see footage on vimeo, delivery expected in May 2010. Remember footage is early beta testing and will have some problems addressed in the final delivery article.

faq of de dII:

Q. If I order today - when can I get my camera?
A. We will not announce any dates or spot on the waitlist. But an order today will most probably give you a camera after 6 months.

and then:

Q. Is It possible to get several mounts? And at what price?
A. You choose one mount for one camera. We support Leica, IMS, C and PL. Prices will be confirmed later in 2008.

so I was confused

Yes the program slipped but so have others. Having been part of the process there are so many issues to address when creating a very small camera with a high quality benchmark.

Some questions about the footage:

What is causing the chromatic aberration in the ladder thing on the right of the lighthouse pic? Is that a lens issue? why only on the right?

In the bougainvillea shot, the green channel seems to have poor anti-aliasing in the green channel - why is the low end clipping so harshly? Is this a data handing of the toe issue?

Why are all the headlights/tail lights in the traffic shot so ratty/distorted. It looks as if the toe and shoulder on the blue and green channels are having issues...

Any thoughts anyone?
