I would like to build a rotating lens turret to accommodate three interchangeable c mount primes for the A-cam DII...think this would be possible? My main concern is doing it in some way that did not void the warranty. Any public interest in this?

Cheers.

You won't believe it - I had the same idea today but was not so far in my mind to build this turret by myself.
For nearly 20 years I'm shooting with the Arri 2C and I really love the revolving turret.
I'm very curious how you want to get this managed without any major work on the camera body.
Please keep us informed.

Hey Rec
My main concerns are doing so without modifying the body, of course hard to really know until I take delivery of the camera. May not be possible but I would even consider modifying the body a little to accommodate such mount as long as everything can be un-done to a degree. :D Either way it would be professionally built by 3rd party, not myself.

They build the camera's at their own work shop. Have you asked them already? I think a turrent would be a great idea.

hey Kurt, I dont want to bother the DII engineers with accessories, its more important they spend this time making a great camera and getting it out the door. Although if they are listening I think its important to consider making the mount user interchangeable to some degree...I noticed the front of the camera has two bolts on ether side of the mount so maybe removing the face plate is possible although they have expressed changing mounts is something done at the factory (with exception of the IMS)

A turret is a great idea. Would it even be possible to base it on the IMS mount, as this one is very shallow?
