Could an owner / operator of the Dii please try out using the eye piece with their left eye and report back here? I am left eyed and have not been able to get close to a Dii in person. If the left eye thing is rough, could you please try using the camera upside down? This is a big request but I would be really grateful for this test. I am left eye dominant and this means the whole (uesless) right side of my head is in the way. Best regards :)

Using it with my left eye is not comfortable as my right cheek bone tends to get in the way.

Using the camera upside down is a bit awkward of course, because of the menu read outs, but on the otherhand, there's not that much to read, so no real issues there.
So this might work but 2 remarks:
1) the viewfinder can only swivel from being level with the camera to an upwards position by 50° - so this means when working upside down, you can only keep the viewfinder level or tilt it down. I find this rather uncomfortable as I'm used to pushing the back of the camera against my shoulder and look down in the viewfinder, when shooting without a shoulder mounted rig.

2) at first you'd think you could use it in an upside down position on a tripod (as it also has screw threads on top), but then you can't access the record button - so you'd need at least the remote button to use it upside down on a tripod.

First, thank you for taking the time to answer my query. I have a big coconut so it sounds like I would be using the camera inverted. I really want to keep the setup minimal. ie) 20mm C mount lens, no audio, available light. I imagine that when locked down to a tripod I could manage but hand held means the trigger button is in a challenging orientation. Ok, so I am thinking out loud.

Is there a remote button? I do not see it on the product list.

Oh wait a second... is that a threaded trig hole I see there? Can I use a mechanical remote in that as for a Leica still camera?
