Hi, yesterday was my first day in action with the Ikon. Everything went fine from camera operation point of view, camera responded great in the studio. Since it was my first shoot I found difficulties on the external SDI monitor and the onboard monitor.
We used HMI’s and unfortunately the signal I was getting out of the camera was bluish even thought camera was set to daylight.
I’m curious how do you deal with color balance when comes to monitoring? Neither of the monitors (SmallHD and Blackmagic smart view) have a 3200 – 5400 switch.
Do I have to work on a preset on the smallHD for daylight or tungsten situations?

Any thoughts?

I remenber someone mentioned that the color balance does not have any influence on the SDI output, the color balance might just work on the viewfinder to help the cameraman ...

The colour balance affects the colour matrix of the DNG file, so since it's RAW you colour balance in post. A monitor isn't going to be the best way of judging colour on the A-CAM.
