First I love the A-cam DII its concept size ccd ect. Its perfect for my needs as a DP for certain documentary projects. The only thing that keeps me away from thinking of boarding the ship is the memory cartridge/ card reader. I see no future in this technology. What I see is SSD getting faster and bigger and cheaper.
Here is an example that would feed DII needs, Optimus SSD from Smart Modular Technologies.

it gives you 500mbps from 200gb to 1.5gb.
As a documentary I sometimes need freedom from a computer to backup, specially on a small crew. 1.5gb gives me this freedom and it works for other recorders as well.
thanks for considering new requests,

I also believe that the use of SSDs would be very important. For example, Convert Design uses 1.8 SSD disks (256-512 GB) in Gemini to record 10-bit uncompressed DPX and uses a eSATA reader. Something like that would be a very interesting solution for Acam DII.
