Bruce Webber on Cameras
October 20, 2008
From ‘Specialten’ the bi-monthly publication founded in 2002 by Marcus Black and Fabio Sebastianelli.
People always ask me like what cameras are you using these days?
I like to toy around with cameras. I have some beautiful old rolliflexes I have one right here in this case. I use a Pentax 6 x 7 It's a medium format camera and I like to use it almost like a 35mm camera very easy like that.
Cameras are a little bit like guitars. You sort of the way you touch it .
You know it has a feeling, I thought the camera is very human in the way it react to somebody. Sometimes it really likes a person sometimes it doesn't.
I know it sound strange you know I was just photographing Kate Moss recently and I realised that all my different formats really loves photographing her because she just brings this romance into everything.
It's not just because she's pretty or has like a sweet body or anything I just feel like that it's that camera has a feeling for her you know.
