A visit by The Godfather of Film Camera Design
September 15, 2008
Today our friend and supporter Jean-Pierre Beauviala - the man behind Aaton - paid a visit to our booth. As always, there was a generous exchange of information and technology on a level rarely seen in the industry today.
We love Jean-Pierre Beauviala for everything he has done and being one of most inspiring persons on the planet. Of course we had to post the beautiful picture of JPB and the very first Aaton prototype outside the Swedish Film Institute shot by Anders Petersen.
We'd also like to link to the intellectual bible of camera designing, the 1985 conversation between Jean-Pierre Beauviala and Jean-Luc Godard from Camera Obscura Vol. 5, No. 13/14 (Spring-Summer 1985): 163-193.
