B&W Cinematography! To celebrate the free spirit of filmmaking, and paying respect to the masters of the art, Ikonoskop is now introducing the first black and white Digital Cinema Camera: A-cam DII Panchromatic Edition Carl T. Dreyer.

The images produced will take black and white electronic cinematography to another level by a monochrome sensor producing an amazing range of gradations.
This delivered in TIFF sequences. More information to come.

personal need for new tools of expression.
The  A-cam DII Panchromatic Edition Carl T. Dreyer is an example of this.
 
Ikonoskop wants to pay tribute to the director Carl T. Dreyer and his black and white masterpiece La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc by naming this camera after him. And at the same time encourage todays visual wizards to take inspiration in the heritage of the grey.

We are happy to announce the new firmware version 1.22 for the A-Cam dll. The new version supports the MK-3 ExpressCard reader, adds the framerate 23.98fps, makes it possible to choose rec run or free run as primary timecode and will show the menu on side display. We have also made firmware and hardware improvements to further enhance the image quality.

The A-Cam dll Express Card Reader is our fastest card reader, it will transfer up to 40fps or 130 MB/s to a fast harddrive or SSD. Now you can playback, colorcorrect and export the CinemaDNG files with DaVinci Resolve and Resolve Lite 8.1 directly from the cardreader.

The Express Card Reader connects to a MacBook Pro 17" with OSX 10.7 Lion via the ExpressCard slot. It can also be used with the older 15" MacBook Pro with ExpressCard slot or any Thunderbolt Mac with OSX 10.7 Lion via a Sonnet Echo ExpressCard/34 Thunderbolt Adapter.  There is also a PCIexpress version for the MacPro available.

The new Co SPRING/SUMMER 2012 collection film was directed by Thomas Bangalter and shot on the A-Cam dll. "To celebrate their spring/summer 2012 collection, the Co designers Stephanie Danan and Justin Kern collaborated with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and the actress Élodie Bouchez on a short film."
